I experimented with the stuff years ago.
I could mix it 50/50 with water and it would freeze almost solid and not expand.
Makes for great ice packs, lasts as long as the cooler packs.
Fill up some water bottle and give it a try. 50/50
We had a bad storm and lost power for three days. It would have been cheap to have two or three gallon jugs of it frozen solid in the freezer chest.
