Pink stuff in the toilet?

Is it ok or accepted to have the pink stuff (antifreeze) sitting on top of the flapper in the toilet for the winter? I did flush until it came through the lines as well.
  • Even on my new Dometic terlet, it will drain out over the winter. As others have said it's good to keep that seal wet and the pink stuff will not stain (that was my initial worry).
  • Yes, plus open the valve quickly to coat the blade, leave about an inch of anti-freeze in bowl.
  • Std procedure for me. I blow my lines with air but always put "pink stuff" in the drain traps and some in the toilet to keep the seals moist. Also reminds anyone (kids) visiting that the RV has been winterized and I don't want them using the toilet.
  • Yes. It will keep the flapper seal from drying out. Note: Check it every no and then to make sure it did not leak out or evaporate. You want to keep the seal wet.
  • Yep, doesn't hurt a thing. In fact since it won't freeze it'll keep the seal from drying out.
