Please check my TV/TT and WDh setup

Comments on my WD setup please

HI, We just bought our first trailer and I would like some help to verify that the WDH has been setup correctly and everything checks out. I took it to a scale after we loaded it for our first trip.

WDH: Equalizer 4 point sway. 1000lb bars, 5 washers
front fender height:
no trailer : 33 3/8"
trailer no WD: 33 7/8"
trailer with WDH 33 5/8"


TV: 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee diesel:
payload: 1050
GVWR: 6500
GAWR: Front 3200
GAWR: Rear 3700
Max Trailer tongue weight: 740
Actual weight of empty vehicle full of fluids from CAT scale : 5160 lbs (I didn't get seperate axle readings)

TT: Keystone Premier 19FBPR.

Weigh #1
FA1: 2780
RA1: 3300
Total TV: 6080
TT1: 4520
total TV +TT = 10600

Weigh #2 (WDH unhooked but attached)
FA2: 2500
RA2: 3740
Total TV: 6240
TT2: 4380
total TV +TT = 10620


Weigh #3 (TV full of occupants and cargo)
FA3: 2800
RA3: 2820
Total: 5620

Calculated Values

GCW = 10600
Tongue Weight: 620
load to TT axles: 140
load to TV front axles: 280
Trailer weight: 5000

    IF it was a concrete road, It is normal. The joints make the truck, and trailer bounce pretty good sometimes

    I would personally drop one hole in the hitch and lower the front about an inch or two. Good things happen when the trailer is a few inches lower in the front.

    Looks like the front is only raising 1/4 inch. You should be good. If however you get any sway. Add another washer, OR pull another link to get the front down that other 1/4 inch.

    if you get an porpoising ,, lower the trailer nose a little..
    or
    go up one link on the wd chain. (stronger).

    Based on your numbers and the photo you are very close to having it right. Now, how does it handle on the highway?

    All that weight stuff was more than my head could handle on a rainy night like this. :B

    But considering the overall weight of the camper and the front fender height of the Jeep, I wouldn't change a thing.

    Any idea of how much the rear fender changed?
