Ugh, no thanks, Florida.
My favorite season is fall and I love the cool, crisp days when the leaves are changing. It is by far the best time of year to camp, IMO. I won't give that up to get rid of winter.
Anyway, I actually love winter. There is something fun about looking out the window and watching the snow. Kids love it. Especially when baking cookies in the days leading up to Christmas! We have a snow blower and I can have the driveway cleared in about 15 minutes. Big deal.
I did my time in South Texas for five years and you will never catch me living in a place like that again. I think it is far more miserable in the summer than the north is in the winter.
My wife is from Florida and just yesterday she said, "I am so glad I don't live there anymore." :E
Don't get me wrong, there are some great places to see and some great camping in Florida, but I will never live there.
