Please explain something to me

We recently purchased the Andersen No Sway WDH and I'm just curious as to how it transfers weight to the front axle and doesn't bounce when, for example, going down a hill over a bridge. I understand the concept with a traditional WDH with bars but I'm not getting how this one works.

I did my research before purchasing it and read that it works better with lighter trailers and lighter tongue weights. We have a 25' trailer with a lighter tongue weight so I'm hoping it works well. Installing it tomorrow so we shall see.

I actually came across that video right after I posted my question :) Cleared things up for me. Thanks!
  • The chains pull the bottom of the ball shank. The trailer coupler pushes the ball, which is the other end of the shank.

I used it on a 16' TT with about 350-380 lb hitch weight, and it worked well for me.
