We have this situation more than most of you, but I will provide a universally workable solution that I have been using.
Passcars are not 8' wide and most (not all) are better performing than my classic coach. So, when we end up in that situation, we will pull over and invite the tailback to pass us. Then they are behind the Amish wagon. They can often pass without crossing the centerline. In more than a few instances, we have ended up first in line behind the wagon again. If I am lucky, by then we have hit a section of road where I can pass.
