- Old-BiscuitExplorer IIIHummmmmmmmm---lets see
You connect to 120VAC CG power which powers the 'charger' that maintains the battery....12VDC
Real question is:
Do you unplug the umbilical cord when parked overnight W/O shore power?
I do..........cause the truck batteries are tied to trailer batteries thru umbilical cord which could end up draining both battery systems
Some vehicles the 7 pin is not hot when ignition key if off---some it is hot all the time - I never hook up shore power without first unplugging my 7 pin.
Might be ok, but why take a chance? With all of today's hi-tech computer gizmobops in our vehicles, who know what back-feeding can do? - agesilausExplorer IIII generally do, tho I rarely do not unhook. I at least use the jack to level the camper. But I pull the plug and unhook the chains for no particular reason.
- fj12ryderExplorer IIII don't know whether I should, but I always do. Can't hurt.
- SeonExplorer III always do.
