I leave ours plugged in most of the time, AC on 85 degrees, and fridge off ( I have second fridge in garage so no need for RV fridge).
With the RV plugged in, and chassis power switch to off positio, do the batteries still charge ? I have yet to turn the chassis battery switch to off ( other than to check it) and was just wondering while reading this thread.
The details of that would vary from RV to RV, particularly for the chassis (i.e. starting) battery of what I assume is a motorhome (rather than the house battery).
For the house battery, most commonly the disconnect will disconnect it from the converter and so it will not get charged when disconnected. This is not universally true by any means.
For the chassis battery, it may not be charged from shore power no matter what state the disconnect switch is placed in, or it may be charged only when connected, or I suppose it could be charged in either case. At least for lower-end motorhomes it's probably most common to not have the chassis battery charged at all via the shore power connection from the factory.
