If the pedestal 30 Amp is on I check for one hot, one neutral and one ground, I have found the 30 Amp socket with two hot and one neutral, no ground.
If I find the socket not to my satisfaction and there is a 50 Amp socket I will test it to see if I have two hot, one neutral and one ground and where they are in relation to the plugs to see if I use the 50 Amp adapter or I request a diferent site.
Once satified with the pedestal I will turn brakers off and hook my cable and then turn brakers on.
I only hook up if I know the camp ground from a previous stay, I do not hook up until I am satisfied with what the park is ofering in electric hookups.
