"Pocket Hose" reviewed on Consumer Reports

I saw someplace that they were about $4.98 on the web. the one I saw had a very cheap looking plastic fitting. would be handy to have however.

Like downtheroad, we also bought the 50' hose. we got it because of it's light weight, as DW doesn't want to haul around the heavier garden hose.

As mentioned, it's not for potable water...not to be use for drinking!
As far as a spare hose to use to rinse off the RV or sewer line, I guess it would be fine. But, you can buy regular hoses for a lot less money, and there is less chance of having problems with the fittings.

As for the fittings, they are plastic, and probably won't take much abuse, but if you are careful, you should be fine.....but again, it would probably depend on just how lucky you get when you buy it. We have already had the plastic fitting come apart, but it wasn't under pressure at the time, and I just screwed it back together.

We got ours at Bed, Bath, & Beyond, and use one of the discount coupons that gave us 20% off the $19.99 price, so it was a pretty good deal.

No one is saying to use it for drinking water. Most people were just interested in carrying it as a regular hose for washing, filling the dogs dish, etc.

I personally don't need an extra hose but some people here do and had asked about it.

We bought one not for the RV but for the garden and car washing...I was surprised how well it actually works. Very easy to deal with.

Ours has gotten a lot of use and never leaked.

As I recall, they are NOT for drinking water.

It is a GARDEN hose! Never meant to service an RV IMHO! Forget about it.

I saw one review on here saying they were total junk, leaked all over the place and never returned back to their original shape and size.

Thanks. I have looked at them several times as something to carry with us in the 5'er, but had not seen any reviews on them. I see one in my horizon.

I saw another report they leaked at the fittings pretty bad. I would like to believe they are a good buy. Hope there is more discussion on the forums about them.
