The big shows are good, but not the others which you can not just about see all that is available. You see only what they want you to buy at some of these great shows. It would be great if we had a large show in Sacramento, Ca. with factory reps like we used to have. I bought my last Cardinal at a large show in Pleasanton, Ca. The factory reps were there allowing me to feel very comfortable talking and dealing with the local sales man and factory rep. Many varieties of RVs where there. That show has turned into sales show with NO REPS and very few brands and models. The last show in Pleasanton was not Pleasant at all. The same dealer I bought from before, different salesman, low balled me on my trade and setting the new one high. He actually insulted me. It didn't work out as he said it would, saying I could not sale mine and had to trade with him. Take or leave it! Remember, I like the big shows like in Pomona, Ca. It's the others that are hyped up to be great and are not which most are now.

I suggest you learn what's a dealer show and what's a manufacturer show. When the locals are advertising on the radio and print, it's clearly stated who is putting it on.

There was some mixing, but I can't say what cuz we weren't focusing on that. But Winnebago for instance had two sites: one for class A, the other for the towables..

There is some marketing science that goes into a lot of this stuff. It would seem to me that from a marketing point of view, you would want to have them mixed up a bit. That way somebody looking for a Class C may have to walk by and take a look at some Class A's while looking for all the C's.

Well, it's over for another year but the plans are already in the works to make next year a better show no matter what gas or economy does. There WILL be Arctic Fox TT's. I bought the week pass and was there several days but did not look at everything because I have no interest in them, but there were bunches of toyhaulers. Remember, this is an RVIA show. A dealer can't show without having a Mfg get him in and a Mfg can't get in without a dealer to show them. But every Mfg there has factory reps there. Might be a show at the Santa Anita race track early spring. Looking forward to the shows.

with the exception of admission that can always be comped, I wouldn't agree with that at all.. This show is by far bigger than the last 6 years. All of the major mfgr's were there with lots of stock, and very few were the same. It's several days if you expect to see everything there.

I've got to agree with Jeff, larger this year, large variety of RVs but a lot more money. Just going by the "SHOW Price" difference between the Thor Vegas and Winnie VIA is 50K. Winnie is a better built and very nicely appointed RV, while the VEGAS is an entry lever RV built on a 350 chassis, but 50K?

As I said in the op, seemed to be a lot of smaller Class A rigs there.

Only had one day to look and didn't get to see everything.

Nothing special in the TENT, no tents anymore. American RV Supply from Glendora CA was in the tent. I have received good service from them and good prices. The square pans were at Giant RV's store in the tent but I think the gal selling them knows nothing about RVs and is a saleswoman.

As far a the rigs being cheaply made and not worthwhile buying, I don't agree but that is what folks were saying about our 1990 Bounder. I looked at the Bounder 30T and I liked everything about it except the upholstery, don't like the phony leather. Some of the features are things I did to mine to upgrade it.

Wish we hadn't had to be out of town, I would have bought the show pass and gotten free parking.

All the others are the ones I am referring to. How many people are willing to travel hundreds of miles to see the show in Southern California? The ones in Northern California are the pits. How about in other states?
