  • I have only put mine in a couple of times in extremely high winds as the slide topper awning was trying to depart the rest of the coach.
  • The slide stays out once I'm set up. I'll roll the awning up if it gets windy.
  • I leave them out if I'm set up camping. Closed when stored or not using. Now if there are Tornado warnings or 8" of snow coming I might rethink leaving slides out. Randu
  • If it's really windy, I close my big slide because wind will lift it. They're more commonly known as slides, or slide outs.
