portable fire pit

Caveman sounds like your city is one giant HOA! :(

The wash tub may work at the park but, in the nearest big town to me (If you call 3800 people a big town) it would be against city ordnances to have something like that in your back yard. They recently passed new ordinances there and basically you can't have anything in your back yard. Not even kids toys.

Academy Sports has fire pits on sale for 29.95. 22 inch pit w/legs, 4 hot dog forks come in the kit.

I bought a Little Red Campfire for a trip to the Outer Banks last year. They didn't allow open fires.

I know a guy that owns a Laundromat I have offered to take any and all of the old used ones he has… they are all SS and is all I want..

Everyone in my family has one now and the really big one I gave to my son who likes bigger fires and a unlimited supply of wood…

I also picked one up at a appliance repair place while I was there getting parts… so far I got them for free…

If you get a porcelain painted tub be careful, the heat will expand and crack the porcelain and it can be shark and fly and hit your eye… that is why I only collect the SS version, plus they last forever…

Long ago a friend of mine carried an old car wheel, laid it on the ground on it's side, then put the lid of a galvanized garbage can face up on the wheel. No big sides to block the view, plenty high off the ground to keep from scorching the grass. Trick these days is to find a galvanized lid!

Keep your eyes open with friends that are buying new appliances,, I got my second one from a friend that had a washer die on them. My first one was mine,, an old "Wards washer" I had it on the side of my house and we were camping at Pismo Beach CA, People next to us had a Commercial washer drum,, Huge fire!!

Went home and attacked that washer with an air chisel!!FUN!!!

Last one we got from a good fiend,, ours was rusty and had a few holes, my friend left it at our camp site,, I reminded him and he said it was a gift!! I will pass that on!!
Or, Try a used appliance store,, going price in Northern CA is $25, Try to get a commercial, They are bigger and SS!!

Been using this one for many years now…

I cut the center shaft out and make a big draw hole in the center, Helps it breath. Bring three bricks for it to sit on, We have had the sides glowing orange, seems to mesmerise people, the little holes on side seem to twinkle! They sure put out a good amount of heat!

When we purchased our DP, our older fire pit really didn't fit in the bay so we picked up the new one at CW.

The only difference between the two was the take down on old one was a PAIN. The diameter on the new one is about 4" shorter than the old one but we dn't do bon-fires, we do camfires. My only negative comment on this type of fire pit is that if you full time, you'll be replacing the mesh cover about every other year.
