Thank you for sharing ... what a way to keep someone entertained by "taking their gnome on vacation" with them and returning him with travel pictures ... a teacher or two come to mind who might do the same thing to their peers ...

We have a garden flag which changes with the seasons, and also a wooden FROG plus a potted plant or two which decorate the patios.

Our "gnome" was a small, plastic pig we got in Manteo, NC. Was supposed to bring travelers good luck and it did!

No gnomes or even flamingos are "hurt" in any of our travels BUT I do have a cyber-friend from another site who winds up in the strangest places: hanging from a chain fence outside NYC's City Hall, falling down drunk on subway steps; shopping until she dropped (literally) in Frankenmuth, MI; being arrested (again) after a 2 day drunk and hotel trashing in Saginaw,MI; holding up a tower in Pisa and swimming the Danube.
It's good to have friends who'll take your picture everywhere:D.
Errrrrrrr but but I'm not allowed to show her falls from grace off site;).
