Welcome to the individual insurance market. We have used Walmart(me) and Publix(DW). We have both converted as much as we can to generics, especially those that are on the $10 for 90 days versions. Publix has some drugs that DW gets for free for her diabetes. But like you we both have a couple of "gotcha" drugs. One she takes exceeds $600 per month.
Our insurance (via Obamacare) does get us discounts on everything generic. The specialty ones are subject to a deductible. Last year we met our deductibles and that $600 one went way down. Then we met our policy out of pocket max (both of us) and all of our drugs were free for the last three to four months of the year.
