I have used 3 methods of Winterizing
Pink stuff.. Once, never again.. I will never put it in the fresh water system again. PERIOD.
Dry Method. Whey Hey Blow The Lines out.. like 10 times. Opened all valves including low point and hooked up the air compressor. (6gallon pancake 150 PSI via a regulator set to 50 PSI dont' want to blow the lines UP. just blow them OUT) when it ran out of air I shut off the flow and let it recharge, when the compressor stopped did it again. like 5-10 times.. then add PINK to traps and toilets only Dump waste tanks and add a bit more PINK to keep the seals moist and call it a winter.
Today the S Method. I shortcut but
Long method : Attach snow blower to front of RV.. Turn so compass points to "S" drive.. When you stop for fuel someone pushes back their cap scratches their head and asks "What the @@#$ is that?" you are winterized.
Short metod.. Skip the snow blower drive past a HOME DEPOT and see if they are selling them (or Lowes or _____) or look for the absence of "Bridge freezes before highway" signs.. Though I don't go THAT far south
Just get one of the new-fangled snow shovels with the funny bent "ergonomic" handle. They are lighter, cheaper, and will accomplish the same thing.
I wish I could do that...
