Prevailing Speed
How fast do you drive in an unfamiliar area and how or do you determine the prevailing speed. Please do not respond with "drive the speed limit",as that is almost never the prevailing speed. In NY ...

My 2-lane speed limit is 55; 4 or more lane speed limit is 60. Not concerned in the slightest with the "prevailing speed". However, if I am holding up traffic, I will pull over.
