I just googled "rv accessories catalog". There are nine companies just on the first page, and Camping World is just one of them. Why in the world would Marcus allow competitors to sell stuff on this site for free? I appreciate his supplying this forum for free. The band width, servers and maintenance isn't free for him.
The idea was not for competitors to sell, it was for forum members to sell or trade. - peaches_creamExplorerIf you can't find it on Craigslist, it don't exist.
- wbwoodExplorerI had a classifieds section on my site for a short period, but no one seemed to be interested in it.
- goducks10ExplorerToo bad they don't allow it. All the other forums I read allow sales.

Affinity Group is no more... The name was changed to Good Sam Enterprises in May, 2011. - deleted-2ExplorerI'd buy\sell on here if it was allowed.
I've noticed CW has become competitive price-wise especially with the club membership.
I just don't shop CW because there are too many other good sources for parts used and new.
If the CW close to us was a walk thru and grab off the shelf retailer I'd buy there more often.
Having to buy over the counter is not something that's very convenient. - BurbManExplorer IIAffinity Group (AGI) owns Good Sam, Woodall's, Trailer Life, MH Magazine, Camping World, etc etc., and also this forum.
I think it's an excellent idea...not everybody can afford to buy new all the time. CW seems to think it competes with their business but I would argue that it's complimentary, since it enables more folks to get into RVing and enables them to trade up.
Lots of folks sell trailer hitches when they move to 5ers and 5er accessories when they move to a MH and toad equipment when they sell the MH and move back to a 5er or leave RVing altogether. Sure, there's flea bay and the dredge list, but folks would rather deal with folks they know from the forum.
Just read a piece in the Wall St Journal today about how Sears is attracting designer upscale brands to their marketplace website...sears.com is now a destination like Amazon where you can buy stuff that's not just sold by Sears.
AGI folks don't see it that way, but in my view it's penny wise and pound foolish and I won't shop in CW because of it. Heck, they won't even sell RV.net T shirts....
