That did not upset me nearly as much as a different type of transaction. I NEVER shop in jewelry stores. I NEVER put large purchases on credit cards. However, for our anniversary, last January, I took DW to a jewelry store and spent $16,000.00 replacing her lost wedding rings and some matching diamond earrings. The charge card company (different card) let that charge go through without a hiccup. THAT upset me. I wanted the security department to require a phone call.
Some months ago I bought 2 large ticket items at Walmart and when the clerk rang the 2nd item up it wouldn't go through and almost simultaneously I received a message from VISA that I had to verify it was I who was making the purchase. That, I liked....
