Problems With Windows

On another forum the subject came up about problems with moister between the glass on Hehr Window Company frameless windows. A number of the members had their small operating window fog up in-between the glass.

In most cases the reason this happens is because of a manufacturing error. . It seems that Hehr had some problems of either not using enough or allowing voids in the sealant when making some size windows.

I was just wondering if any of you with Hehr’s Frameless Windows have had problems with moister between the glass that makes the window look foggy, and if so are they the widows that open?

  • A new Wind River with Lippert Kinro frame-less windows here. A broken wheel that rides in the track of the opening window causing open/close failure. Entire window must be replaced. Any others here with frame-less windows that have problems?
  • We do not open our windows due to allergies so that was not the cause of our windoe fogging up.

  • I've been trying to work with Hehr to get a replacement for the bad window we have. Not an easy company to work with. They don't call or write back to my request on how to get a replacement. I need to find some other way to fix the bad window we have
  • Another RV'er has told me that the problem might be created on the operating Hehr windows by closing them to tight, putting pressure on the glass and that is breaking the seal. Most of what I'm reading is problems with the venting units.

We do not have the Hehr frameless windows but the regular windows in our 2002. None of our windows has a broken seal/moisture in-between.

I have they have a one year warranty and our rig is 2 years old. Our last fiver was a Forest River product and their glass supplier had a 3 year warranty.

  • We have one that has moisture. It is in the big rear window but one of the small opening panes. Less than 2 years old.
