It seems the inspections are mainly for large quantity being brought in not for an apple or an orange.
We have been asked though if we had any live houseplants. I can see a problem for new types of bugs or invasive species of plants being brought in as it is an agricultural state. The U.S. has many types of invasive species brought in to control pests and certain pest brought in to control other pests and they only made a bigger problem in the long run.
