During burn bans, you can't beat the propane ones.. I had a guy come over to my site when he saw the flames during a burn ban and once he saw that it was propane, he apologized and asked where I got it!
I can run it under the awning, so even during a rain storm, I can have a fire!
I don't miss the smoke that always seems to follow me when I have a real fire... I will still bring wood for a real fire when I know there are no burn bans, but sometimes, the propane fire works better..
Never have liked burnt marshmallows anyway, no matter what they are cooked over, but I would think over the propane flame, they would not be very good at all..
Been using mine for probably 10 year now. I think it's a "fire dancer"..
