I`ve never turned my fridge off while refueling. then again my fridge is on the passenger side and is 30 feet from the fuel pump. It`s just not physically possible for my fridge to be near a fuel pump unless I purposely "park" it next to one, which I wouldn`t do! But of course I have an inverter to power my fridge on the road. So running on propane would be a very last resort!
