How do you calculate "real risk"? What are you basing your "calculation" on? I don't care what people do but I don't buy the idea that running with propane on is without risk, or even necessary for the great majority of us.
I have towed a 5th from Vancouver to St. John's, Newfoundland and back. Every winter I tow from BC to Southern California or Arizona and back. plus all the summer camping we do every year in BC and Alberta. I have never towed with propane on or found the need to.
