The assertion that one can't tow a recreational vehicle here in Canada with the propane tank(s) turned on is rubbish. Towing laws fall under provincial / territorial jurisdiction, not federal, so there is no such thing as "a Canadian law" that prevents such practice. Having lived here all my life I know of no laws anywhere here in Canada that forbid such practice, the obvious exceptions being travel through tunnels, over bridges, etc, in which case a warning to first pull over and turn off the tanks will be clearly posted. The following is a typical towing guide as it applies throughout the various Canadian provinces and territories.
