True, you can't prove a negative, but you can prove a positive. You posit that there are accidents/fires caused by traveling with the propane turned on. That should be easy to prove by showing statistics and accident reports. So let's see 'em. Lack of evidence doesn't show proof, but does lend credence to the idea that it's a non-issue.
There you go again, it isn't a matter of wrong or right just a different assessment of acceptable risk by individuals. I'm not the one trying to "prove " something.
So turn your propane off.... Who cares?
My beer will be cold, ice and steaks frozen when I get to camp.
That's one of the big advantages of a camper IMO .... Portable fridge
