BC Ferries, Washington State Ferries and Marine Atlantic all require propane to be turned off. The inside passage from Port Hardy to Prince Rupert takes 15 hrs. Marine Atlantic from Sydney to Port aux Basques takes 6 to 8 hours and the ferry to Argentia takes about 16. You can add at least an hour to all of them for embarking and disembarking. Lots of RV's do the inside passage and Newfoundland was crawling with RV's when we were there. We ran into three Airstream caravans and several motorhome caravans. Yet to hear of any food poisoning outbrakes among RVers in either place.
