Propane

Hi to all. We are gonna stay the winter in the cg we are in now. We were gonna use electric heaters but found out today the cg owners say no to electric heaters. They watch the electric very close. They have grids and if too much electric is used they will charge ya. We may be the only ones here in the winter in the grid for the area. My question is is the small propane heaters safe for inside. Thanks as usual for yer answers. God Bless.

  • Any unvented heater is going to produce carbon monoxide. Very dangerous inside. Also raises the issue of not providing heat to the areas where plumbing is. Frozen pipes in the winter really sucks.
  • I'm not convinced of the safety of small propane heaters.
  • do not use an unvented combustion heater.

Plan on renting a 100 gallon propane tank.
  • Nothing better than the comfort of consistent heat from a digital thermostat and the house furnace. I tried a buddy heater and it messed up our sinus. I have had people tell me that the wave is cleaner burning. Life is too short and burning more propane puts shoes on kids feet of the workers who come behind us. Some people get a company to bring in 100 pound bottles. I just had a 120 GALLON upright tank delivered to our house. They fill it to 100 gallons
  • Is the furnace broken?
Furnace does circulate heat best for keeping pipes from freezing.

  • A little more info about the camper/trailer/RV you're staying in would help.
