Can anyone tell me if a 1989 f-150 5 speed (over drive) manual shift can be pulled 4 down? I have a sweet running 1989 and would like to take it with me on some trips.

Almost certainly. Almost any manual trans vehicle can be a toad. Check with your owner's manual. (It's right there in your glove box, no?) Also make sure your tow vehicle, whatever it is, is rated to the mass tonnage ability of your F-150 when fully loaded with accoutrament.
