Can anyone tell me if a 1989 f-150 5 speed (over drive) manual shift can be pulled 4 down? I have a sweet running 1989 and would like to take it with me on some trips.

I think you should talk to several local mechanics that you trust and to some research on line. I was under the impression that the 5 speed transmissions in those trucks had a bad reputation.
