I have the 6.7 Cummins with the integrated brake, and yes it works very well, even with the automatic! I'm still waiting for an RCMP officer to pull me over and attempt to ticket me for no brake lights after descending hill (15lbs of "boost" in 4th locked, and us hanging off the seatbelts). :W
Seems to me like the brake lights ought to be lit when the vehicle is slowing significantly. This is probably a case of outdated vehicle code. Why would you want to slow in front of others without warning them?
