I read a post on another forum where a guy in a Class A with a towed had a guy wave him over and pointed to his towed. He found a place to safely park and check his towed. The guy who waved him over was under his towed and removed one of his shock absorbers. Being a savvy RVer he opted to drive a few miles further to the campground he planned to stay overnight and inspect the towed in a safer place. The “Good Samaritan “ said he is a certified mechanic and would replace all the shocks. Turned out the lady at the park office knew about the scam and warned the RVer. The next day he took his towed to a mechanic the RV park owner recommended and found there was nothing wrong with the towed.
