pulling motorcycle with rv. Open trailer or closed trailer

I want to tow a trike behind my motorhome, I am concerned that if I use a open trailer the trike might get damaged from stones or other stuff, or should I use a closed trailer? Appreciate any comment...

Has anyone heard or seen a type of cover for front of trike, trailer I'm looking has a 24 in tall guard on front, but I would like to have more protection for trike, have heard something like this is made, but have been unable to find it anywhere.
