pulling motorcycle with rv. Open trailer or closed trailer

As stated, the open trailer is easy to store, can stand on its edge against garage wall, if I go with a closed trailer I don't have a way to store it, unless I find a storage lot somewhere. also open trailer weighs less and is easier to handle.
I'm trying to find a open trailer with enough protection on the front to stop any damage from stones,etc. or I will be forced to go with a closed trailer. I should have explained my situation better.
