pulling motorcycle with rv. Open trailer or closed trailer

I want to tow a trike behind my motorhome, I am concerned that if I use a open trailer the trike might get damaged from stones or other stuff, or should I use a closed trailer? Appreciate any comment...

If you opt not to get an enclosed trailer, a trike hydralift may be something to consider if you have a pusher that can handle the weight. That gets you away from having to store a trailer
