Quality Control
I bought this RV hose at Lowes. It was packaged up pretty good and I could only see one end. I noticed that the end had more metal in it than you usually see and thought it was better quality than us...

WRONG !!! Hose threads are not the same as pipe threads. A close nipple is a pipe thread on both ends.
EDIT. A hose threaded double male adapter is what is needed and they are dificult to find.
You mean like these which took all of about 30 seconds to search for?
