I have a 2002 Dodge 2500 2WD that has Firestone Transforce AT 245/75r16's on it. The tow vehicle has both towing and camper package on it (extra leaf springs). The tires are now 7 years old and have about 30K miles on them but are developing cracks in the sidewalls. In short, it is high time for new tires.......... Thanks to all who contribute. -Dewey
Sounds like someone at some point down sized your tires. My 2001 with Camper package also came with optional 265/75-16R E's good for another 373# capacity ea. I run Michelin MS+2 265/75-16 E's. Great traction and going on three years.
The VIN sticker still stated 245's, but I got the build sheet from Chrysler and stated Camper and tow packages, with optional 265 tires.
