Question? Fueling with Refrigerator or Furnace Running

I've watched people fill up with their engines running, while smoking, and on cell phones. I've watched grown, intelligent men lock back the safety on Skil saws and use their knees as a table while cutting a 2x4. I've seen people on motorcycles wearing flip-flops shorts and t-shirts.
