Do what you want.
In over 2 million miles of truck driving, and RV pulling, I have NEVER seen ANYONE turn off pilot lights either at the fuel pumps, or stopping BEFORE they get to the islands, getting out, and turning them off.
Some turn them off for all travel. But, of those that don't I would be willing to bet that over 99.9% of RV's have their pilots on while fueling. We found ONE possible fire from this? How many MILLION times have RV's fueled?
Also, I have a 2 year old Voltage. It has NO pilot lights. Electronic ignition. It could start though while fueling.
I bet that you are more likely to be hit by a meteorite than have a fire.
Your choice.
