Never send anyone off with your stuff unless you transfer the money in the bank. Only then will you know the account is legal and the money is there for the transfer to complete.
It it's in their bank, get their bank to give you a bank check for the money, if it's in yours, get them to certify the holdings before you sign.
And, if they have no RV experience driving a rig, take a deposit that says any test drives bring it back in the same condition.
