I think we're talking about the same thing...I greased on top and bottom of the piece that the bar slides into. This is the point that swivels and is metal on metal contact. I greased it by pulling bar perpendicular to truck and greased top and bottom and worked the bar parallel to truck and back to perpendicular. I did remove a lot of this grease on the way home however.
You can also tighten the bolt that it causing the tension at this point. I have thought about doing that but I am unsure if that will affect the sway. To me the most sway control should be at the friction point where the bar meets the l bracket and not on the hitch where the bar slides in. Correct?
