CCI snake shotThe .38/.357 and the .45 ACP work pretty well. I haven't bothered with the others. Since I have a sub compact pocket 9mm now that I like to carry I'll probably try out some of the 9mm snake shot. I did try some Remington brand in .45 ACP. Although there wouldn't be any problem hitting a snake on a quick draw, it spreads out way too much requiring multiple rounds to be effective. It was brass cased with crimped ends like a blank cartridge.
When I know there will be poisonous snakes around my first 2 loaded rounds in the pistol are snake shot. I keep the rest loaded for 2 legged snakes.
