Years ago a coworker age 46 had a foot and a half of his intertines removed because of diverticulosis and we all went to have our butt checked. I was over 50 and my doc said a Sigmoidoscopy was good enough so I got to watch the camera but the doc said everyone should have a colonoscopy over 55. I have had them since and they are nothing. Like said above, everybody over 50 or 55 go do it.
