Re-covered or put new foam in your seat cushions?

I need to put a firmer foam in this dinette seat cushion from my 1997 TT. The seat/cushions are set-up like those in many RV's where the bottom cushion slides under the back cushion to the seat wall. ...

You are not kidding. The local shop just quoted me $178 for the two foam pieces required for this one bottom cushion. Extra firm, 10 year density. Sure felt comfortable on the test cushion though.

The foam on this old cushion is 4.5" thick which doesn't seem to be available from the online places that I can find.
