That doesn't look like it will hold up. The wood split even more compared to the first picture. The repair person said it wasn't going to be a small fix but, he sure found a simple way to fix it. I am interested in seeing what the manufacture says about this. It looks to me that a certified letter with a restricted signature by the owner is in order. Good grief.
