On my TT, the exhaust vent/fan combo in the bathroom has to have 3 conditions in order to work:
1. hatch has to be open at least 50-percent
2. wall switch must be 'on'
3. multi-speed switch on the vent/fan must be set to speed 1, 2, or 3 -- not 'off'
The thing that stumped me at first was that I did not have the vent hatch cranked open far enough.
