Why bother converting to gallons? 2 x 15 lb short fills is exactly equal to 1 x 30 lb large cylinder properly filled. (The pound capacities are net capacities, and already take into account the needed headspace. A 20 pound cylinder would hold about 25 pounds if improperly filled to the very tippy-top...and vent some of it the moment it got at all warmer.)
I always convert to gal as a habit b'cuz no one charges me per pound only $ per gallon :)...
