An outlandish toll is for the new not very long at all bridge and the old bridge too on I-65 over the Ohio River at Louisville KY and they scan your license plate and you'll get a bill in the mail a month or two later. A vehicle pulling an RV is tolled the same as a Semi/trailer and yes, I sure did complain to them with a phone call to KY State Highway complaint office. These are a ripoff and we'll avoid them and Louisville or Cincinnati in the future and take another road south/north over the Ohio River!
We were planning on taking that route in a couple of weeks. If you don't mind me asking, how much are we talking about? We don't have toll roads where we live, and we're new to RVing, so it's not something I'm familiar with to even have an idea of what to expect. We might want to find another route if possible, maybe it's not possible if going through Louisville & Cincinnati...
EDITED: Never mind...I just double-checked our route, and we don't cross the river. We be taking I-65 to I-71.
