Va State Parks & Dog fees
A while back we had a thread going with the pro's and con's of the Va State Park Dog fee's ($5 per night, per dog-max 3 nights) there were a lot of thoughts of better ways to offset the "cost" of pet'...

Pertinent or not, as a life-long resident of VA, it is seldom that fees once instituted go away. I'm sure the "dog fee" is there for no reason but to increase revenue to the system. When you know good and well that the majority of pet owners are going to go camping with their pets, it makes fiscal sense to make a little extra money off of it so you can then pretend to repair roads.
