The Ready Brute Elite brakes work great. I was driving out of a pull-thru site when the little anchor shackle holding the brake cable flipped over towards the coach. Completely stopped the Winnebago Vista 27N (29 feet.) I gave it a little more gas, still wouldn't move. Got out and took a look. Granted I was moving very slowly but it was amazing that the little CR-V could hold back the motorhome.
I have been towing that '13 CR-V with the Ready Brute Elite for seven years behind three different motorhomes. I've made many trips over the Cascades, Siskiyous, Sierra, and Rockies. Never have had a problem with the surge brakes in the mountains, or on the flat for that matter.
